Technologic challenges
From the beginning, the client required the use of ultrasound, a digital data communication, with a required distance of 5 meters.
It also required modulation based on phase changes of the sound. However, the low speed of sound and the variety of reflected signals prevent this change.
Likewise, the transmitter's own resonant characteristic prevents this.
In addition to the analog challenge, amplification, bandpass filtering, detection and everything at a low cost and little space, the challenge was based on creating a protocol that:
Can be used at a wide angle
Discriminate bounces
Detect and compensate for errors
Can transmit up to 6 bytes in 200ms
